Dr. Dana Kelly, Assistant Principal/Dean at Kenwood Trail Middle School, and Bret Domstrand, Principal at Lake Marion Elementary traveled to Washington D.C., for the National School Leaders Advocacy Conference from March 9-12.

Congratulations to the Lakeville North High School and Kenwood Trail Middle School Science Olympiad teams on their successes at the Minnesota Science Olympiad State Tournament on March 1 at Bethel University. Lakeville North placed 9th as a team in the high school division, Kenwood Trail Team Neutron placed 9th as a team, and Kenwood Trail Team Proton placed 10th as a team in the middle school division.

The Lakeville South and Lakeville North math leagues made large strides this season competing in the Canterbury Division of the Minnesota Math League. With 409 total points, the Lakeville South team finished first in the Canterbury Division for the first time since 2018. The Lakeville North team finished fourth in the division with 354 total points.

Lakeville South High School’s varsity weightlifting team claimed its sixth consecutive team championship at the 2025 Minnesota High School Weightlifting State Championships, held on March 8 in Cannon Falls, Minnesota.

At the March 25 meeting, the school board heard a presentation on student passion projects, reviewed the renewal of operating and capital projects levies, received an update on the district’s educational technology systems, and postponed a vote on a proposed data analytics system.
